SHORT COMPANY PROFILE :
The company Zamori was founded on July,27th 1953 in the current seat, located in Via Arno, 22 in
Prato in self owned premises of about 6.000 square Metres.
Its production has alwas been adressed to the use of high
quality fabrics from worsted yarns and since the end of the 60ies, then Landi
& Zamori, its interest into high quality fibres was always growing.
The current collection is composed by piece dyed and melange
fabrics from Baby Alpaca, Alpaca
superfine, Suri Alpaca, Mohair, Baby
Lama, Camelhair and Cashmere, that are produced as pure fibres as well as
mixed with pure wool, produced in
our own spinning mill counting 2.200 cones.
The whole production is being done in our premises for the
spinning of yarn, warping, weaving and control of raw pieces, while the dyeing
and finishing is made in a third company that has got the certification "
UNI EN ISO 9002".The raw fibres are bought mainly from the lands of origin
and for a small part from European suppliers.
Our fabrics are showed during the year at the most important
textile exhibitions : MODA IN, PRATO
EXPO, PREMIERE VISION and TOKYO FORUM. The customers can also be
attended by a chain of representatives and by our own staff, that are prsent in
most of the important countries.
In the year 2000, close to the main brand " ZAMORI" a new brand "CAMERATA DELL'ALPACA" (R) was founded with the purpose to control
and to improve the production of the highest fibres in the Peru Andes and with
the purpose to check and control the production from the collection of the
fibres from the animals to the preparation of the worsted stripes for the
spinning.
Our company produces high quality fabrics for ladies' wear with weight ranging from
300 to 660 grs per linear metre for the Autumn/winter collection and above all
we produce a large number of melange colours that can be widely used
also for mixing fancy yarns thank to
our warehouse always full of all colours available.
